Key Responsibilities

Quality Leadership

Responsible for achieving the objectives and targets of the Quality Assurance (QA) department.
Ensure adherence to company-set quality benchmarks and statutory standards.
Quality Systems Implementation
Coordinate and conduct in-house training to promote compliance with quality systems and operational processes.
Monitor and track all statutory and regulatory issues, ensuring compliance with FSSC, FSSAI, and internal audit requirements.

Supplier & Vendor Quality

Interact with vendors for quality improvement and conduct regular supplier audits and evaluations.
Ensure that raw materials and packaging materials received meet specified quality standards.
Product Quality Assurance
Ensure that all incoming materials and finished goods conform to statutory and internal quality standards.
Monitor food safety plans and audit reports for deviations in Critical Control Points (CCPs).

Non-Conformance & Corrective Action

Monitor the implementation of corrective actions for non-conforming materials as per the Non-Conforming Goods Procedure.
Validate controls and specific measures related to CCPs and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Quality Audits & Compliance

Lead supplier quality audits and internal quality inspections.
Ensure documentation and execution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the Quality Management System (QMS).

Customer & Internal Coordination

Liaise with customers and the Plant Head regarding quality issues, complaints, and resolution.
Take ownership of inspection activities, in-process quality checks, and testing of raw and packaging materials.

Production Support & Quality Monitoring

Coordinate with production teams to ensure alignment with the production schedule and quality parameters.

Oversee segregation, rework, and analysis of components during internal or customer rejections.

Continuous Improvement
Drive the effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

Ensure continual improvement and maintenance of the Quality Management System in line with ISO/FSSC/FSSAI standards.
Qualifications – BTech / MSc Food Technology
