Wow! Momo is investing ₹35 crore in a new manufacturing unit in Maharashtra to produce Momos and Kulfi.

Wow! Momo, a leading quick-service restaurant (QSR) brand in India, is making a significant move in its expansion strategy by investing Rs 35 crore in a new manufacturing facility in Maharashtra. The facility, spanning 1 lakh sq. ft., will be dedicated to producing momos and kulfi, allowing the company to scale its production and reduce logistics costs.

Boosting Production Capacity and Efficiency
The new manufacturing unit will be capable of producing up to a million momos and a couple of lakh kulfis per day. This expansion will help Wow! Momo achieve economies of scale and optimize its supply chain.

“Our current units span across 60,000 sq. ft.,” said Sagar Daryani, Group CEO & Founder of Wow! Momo. “With the new plant, we aim to significantly cut down logistics costs, as our existing manufacturing facilities are located in the East and North of India.”

With this investment, Wow! Momo will now operate three manufacturing units, replacing its current kitchen setup. Furthermore, the company has set its sights on opening another manufacturing facility in South India over the next two years.

Expansion into the FMCG Market
Alongside its QSR growth, Wow! Momo is aggressively expanding its presence in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) segment. The company has launched Wow! Noodles, introducing a range of Desi-Asian flavored instant noodles to the market.

With an investment of Rs 5 crore in this segment, the brand is offering nine stock-keeping units (SKUs) with flavors including Thukpa, Khao Suey, Manchurian, Korean, and Chinese Bhel.

Future Growth and Business Goals
Despite facing current losses, Wow! Momo is confident about its long-term financial outlook. The company aims to grow its FMCG business into a Rs 100 crore segment within the next 24-30 months. This move is part of a broader strategy to diversify revenue streams and improve EBITDA in the coming years.

By expanding its manufacturing capabilities and entering new market segments, Wow! Momo continues to strengthen its position as a dominant player in the Indian food industry. The Maharashtra facility is expected to be operational by June, marking a major milestone in the company’s journey toward sustained growth and profitability.
