Suspected adulterated ghee, paneer worth ₹65.40 lakh seized in Surat.

Authorities seized 10,380 liters of suspected adulterated ghee and 150 kg of paneer from two different locations in Surat on Wednesday. The samples were then sent to a laboratory for testing.

According to information from the Surat Police and the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department (FDCA), a raid was conducted at Shakti Foods in Narayan Complex, Parvat Patiya.

During the raid, 10,380 litres of ghee worth ₹65.13 lakh was seized, stored in jars, containers, and pouches

Another raid was conducted at Laxmi Narayan Industries, Shop Number 2, in Varachha, where 150 kg of paneer worth ₹37,500 was seized.

If the items are found to be adulterated, the police will take legal action against those responsible.
