Maharashtra FDA filed case for Ghatkopar based firm.

Food items were purchased from D-Mart and repacked.

This is a serious threat to public health and safety.

Surprise inspections were conducted by FDA's Greater Mumbai Zone-8.

During the inspection, the officials found that the firm was operating without license.

This is a violation of Section 31(1) of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

Unhygienic practices in the establishment were also followed.

The firm was found resuming its operation even after a shutdown order from Food Safety Officer Mr Abhinandan Randive.

FDA has lodged a formal complaint at Ghatkopar Police Station for further investigations.

Joint Commissioner Mangesh Mane gave a warning to strictly comply with the law.
