Kerala to get Rs 100 crore food processing hub at Angamaly

RCC Nutrafill held the bhoomi pooja and foundation stone laying ceremony for its upcoming food processing and life sciences manufacturing facility at the KSIDC Business Park in Angamaly, Kerala. P Rajeev, Minister for Industries, Law and Coir in the Government of Kerala, presided over the foundation stone-laying ceremony in the presence of dignitaries, government officials, company leadership, and local stakeholders.
The facility, spread across five acres, is set to complete Phase 1 within the next 24 months. Designed to be the first of its kind, the facility will serve as an integrated manufacturing and processing hub, combining cold storage, warehousing, research and development, logistics, and the handling of Life Sciences and FMCG products.
RCC Nutrafill aims to provide 500 direct and indirect jobs in two phases, with an investment outlay of Rs 100 crores.
“This project reflects Kerala’s commitment to industrial growth driven by innovation and high-end technology,” said P Rajeev, Minister for Industries, Law and Coir in the Government of Kerala, after laying the foundation stone.” He added, “We are pleased that Nutrafill has chosen to establish its project in Angamali. The Government of Kerala remains fully committed to supporting Nutrafill’s shared vision and ensuring this facility becomes a benchmark for innovation, quality, and sustainable manufacturing. I congratulate the company on this important step forward.”
Upon commercialisation, the facility will cater to the processing of food, marine, spices, agricultural and medical products through USDA-accredited-technology, ensuring product safety, shelf-life extension, and compliance with global standards.

RCC Nutrafill is India’s first integrated manufacturing facility of ready-to-use media plates and adjuvants. It is also integrating capabilities for validation, sterility and growth promotion studies, stability testing, validated bio-ball-based release testing and Stringent QA/QC and regulatory compliance.
