Amul Milk Price Cut: Dairy brand Amul announced on Friday a price reduction of Re 1 on its Amul Gold and Amul Taaza milk packs, as well as on the 1 kg pack of Amul Tea Special. The announcement was made by Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation, which runs Amul (GCMMF).
“Amul has reduced the price of milk by Re 1 in Amul Gold, Amul Taaza and Amul Tea Special 1 kg pack,” ANI quoted Jayen Mehta, as saying.
The price reduction applies to 1 kg packs of the specified milk variants. Consumers can now purchase Amul Gold, Amul Taaza, and Amul Tea Special at the updated prices, designed to make milk more affordable. The new prices are Rs 53 for Amul Taaza, Rs 61 for Amul Tea Special and Rs 65 for Amul Gold.
"This decision has been taken to benefit our consumers while maintaining the high quality of our products. The new pricing structure reflects our commitment to serving our customers better," as per Jayen Mehta.
The milk price reduction is expected to offer some relief amid the rising costs of essential goods. As one of India’s leading dairy brands, Amul plays a crucial role in the daily lives of millions across the country. This is also the first price reduction for Amul milk since June 2024, when a Rs 2 per litre increase was implemented across all milk variants. The price hike took effect on June 3, 2024.
