* A background of at least 3– 6 years in a similar role in food industry
* Proven experience in R&D roles within the FMCG industry, with a focus on product development and innovation.
* Strong knowledge of food chemistry, ingredient functionality, and food processing technologies.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
* Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
* Team player with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.

Job description
➢ To be aware of commercialization, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
➢ Conduct research to identify market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor offerings to inform product development strategies. Ensure that R&D activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry
➢ Monitor and analyze product quality data to identify areas for improvement.
➢ Maintain detailed records of experiments, formulations, and results.
➢ Prepare regular reports summarizing R&D activities, achievements, and future plans.
➢ Conducting internal audits, keeping checklists, SOP development and large-scale production analysis.
➢ Establish and maintain quality control procedures for raw materials, in process, and finished products.
➢ Work with production teams to implement corrective actions based on quality feedback, Market research, product launch
➢ Utilize scientific principles and methodologies to formulate new product recipes and formulations that meet consumer needs and regulatory requirements.
➢ Conduct product testing and evaluation to assess performance, stability, and sensory attributes.
➢ Optimize existing product formulations and processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
➢ Stay current on industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to inform R&D strategies and ensure compliance.
➢ Support the scale-up and transfer of new products to manufacturing, providing technical expertise and troubleshooting as needed.
➢ Maintain accurate documentation of R&D activities, including formulation records, lab reports, and project timelines.
➢ Be a part to Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement within the R&D team.

Reporting Requirements:

* This position reports to GM – Quality & Food Safety.
