Quality Executive Job Description for Private Label Quality FMCG Foods

Position : Quality Executive

Location: Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi

Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsible for quality, food safety & regulatory compliance of all Private Label food products.

Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods at 3P Supplier Locations.

Maintain and update quality documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance records.

Perform routine inspections and audits to monitor hygiene, sanitation, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

Oversee Pre-Dispatch Inspections (PDI) and ensure products meet specifications and customer expectations.

Identify quality deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Ensure root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive measures for all deviations & customer complaints
Conduct and document Mock recalls at defined frequency & Ensure implementation of Traceability procedure.

Ensure Food Safety implementation at all Supplier locations & responsible for maintaining
Quality assurance, communicate and own documentation as per Quality and Food safety management systems like FSSC 22000, FSSAI etc.

Responsible for follow up with the third party manufacturers for pre-assessment of facilities through Quality & Food Safety Audits.

Work closely with procurement, manufacturing, marketing, and sales teams for successful product launches.

Coordinate with suppliers for raw material development and specifications.

Support Business teams with technical insights, claims, and product storytelling.

Responsible for conducting the Quality Benchmarking to understand competitors product & to identify the improvement opportunities in product quality standards & suggest required changes.

Travel to multiple facilities to ensure quality processes & Product Standards

Desired key Skills:

Must have basic understanding on FMCG Foods processing, quality assurance, Private labeling and vendor audits.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements of FSSAI, Legal metrology Act, Consumer Protection Act.

Should have Knowledge on Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PPT.

Process oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrates a positive “can-do” excellent teamwork attitude with strong communication/ information sharing skills – verbal and written, ability to communicate effectively to all stake
holders.

Self-motivated, able to perform role with minimal supervision.

Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Ability to work in a team environment to consistently achieve results & achievement.

Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with internal stake holders and suppliers tomeet business Quality objectives.

Team player who can collaborate across multiple functional areas

An adaptable individual who remains focused on delivering a long-term plan

Qualifications:
BE /B.Tech/B.Sc/M.Sc –Food Technology/ Food Science/ Food Processing Engineering/ Agriculture (Any UG/PG related to Food)
Minimum of 2-4 years direct working experience related to the Food Industry.
