About the Role:

At Bombay Sweet Shop, we're reimagining India's culinary heritage, and as a Food Technologist, you'll play a key role in bringing this vision to life. This is a unique opportunity to work across multiple projects, from developing new products to ensuring quality and regulatory compliance. You will be working closely with our R&D team to support product development, troubleshoot production issues, and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety.

In this role, you will be immersed in the creative and technical side of food technology, collaborating with a dynamic team, while contributing to the success of one of India's most exciting culinary brands.

Who You Are:

You are a detail-oriented Food Technologist with 1-2 years of experience in the FMCG industry, eager to grow and expand your skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You have a strong foundation in food science and technology and are passionate about developing high-quality, safe, and cost-effective food products. You are ready to take on challenges, embrace new learning opportunities, and collaborate with your team to drive success.

Your Team:

You will work closely with the R&D, operations, and production teams at Bombay Sweet Shop. You will collaborate with senior experts in the field to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and continuously improve our product offerings. Your role will be critical in ensuring that our products meet both the highest culinary standards and legal regulations.

Reporting Structure:

You will report directly to the Product Development & Commercialization Manager, following their guidance to ensure the development of innovative products while maintaining strict quality control and compliance with food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Product Development: Assist the product development team in creating new food products, including conducting benchmarking, stability tests, and pilot trials with a focus on retail items.

* Innovation & Sourcing: Coordinate with flavor houses and development partners to explore new ingredients and packaging solutions for product optimization and innovation.

* Troubleshooting & Support: Identify and resolve issues during daily production and packaging, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality output.

* Market Research: Conduct research on raw materials and ready-to-serve (RTS) products to support the development of new products and improve existing ones.

* Regulatory Compliance: Assist in obtaining and maintaining manufacturing licenses, ensuring compliance with legal metrology, packaging regulations, and food safety standards.

* Quality Control: Work with the production team to implement quality assurance protocols and ensure products meet legal, safety, and quality standards.

* Audits & Inspections: Conduct monthly audits of Bombay Sweet Shop's cafes, manufacturing facilities, and storage units to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Skills & Experience:

To excel in this role, you will need:

* 1-2 years of experience in the FMCG industry, ideally within food technology or product development.

* A Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology. Strong communication and organizational skills. • A proactive attitude, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Basic knowledge of food safety standards, regulations, and quality control practices. • A problem-solving mindset, capable of troubleshooting production issues and implementing effective solutions.
