City Quality Check (QC) Head - Fruits & Vegetables

Key Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end quality control for Fruits & Vegetables across inbound, storage, handling, and dispatch.

Implement and monitor SOPs to ensure compliance with FSSAI and food safety norms.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of suppliers, warehouses, and distribution points.

Work closely with procurement and operations teams to maintain consistent product quality.

Monitor key quality KPIs (rejections, wastage, customer complaints) and implement corrective actions.

Train, guide, and supervise the QC team to ensure high standards are followed consistently.

Resolve customer quality complaints with root cause analysis and preventive actions.

Candidate Profile:

Bachelor's degree

in agriculture / food technology / Horticulture /related field.

4-6 years of experience in QC/QA for Fruits & Vegetables/perishables.

Strong knowledge of post-harvest handling, cold chain, and quality parameters.

Familiarity with food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, GHP, GMP).

Hands-on experience in vendor quality audits and warehouse quality processes.

Skills Required:

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

Good communication and vendor management skills. Ability to lead a small team and drive accountability.
